AMAZING MAY
May is a very exciting time in Grants Pass. The entire month, known as AMAZING MAY, is packed full with events for the entire community. Whether you’re a visitor or local resident, AMAGING MAY will have at least one event you won’t want to miss.
With so many events occurring in May, your family has the possibility of catching an art show, going to a carnival, watching fireworks, and taking in a hot air balloon ride, all within the same weekly visit.
The first weekend in May boasts a golf tournament as well as a parade, the Magical Merlin parade.
The following weekend, Mother’s Day weekend, features a homebuilders show, spring wine stroll, Native American pow-wow in Riverside Park and Mother’s Day champagne brunch at Wildlife Images, a wildlife rehabilitation and that increases awareness of Native American arts.
The activities are still abounding in the middle of the month, with a symphony concert, dog show; antique show and two-mile benefit walk within the same weekend.
Memorial Day weekend at the end of the month boasts the largest festival in Grants Pass, Boatnik. This event focuses primarily on hydroplane boat races on the Rogue River, but also includes a parade, carnival, fireworks, horse races and much, much more.
